Membership Application

It is encouraged that community Ukulele players become financial members of the Newkulele Festival Inc in order to enjoy all of the rights and privileges of membership. Further information about the rights of membership can be found in the constitution.

The objectives of the Newkulele Festival Incorporated are to:

  • Organise and stage regular ukulele festivals in Newcastle NSW on behalf of the local ukulele community
  • Stage ukulele festivals that focus on ukulele education, performance, community and fun
  • provide festival programs which engage and inspire the interest of local, interstate and international ukulele players and communities
  • build on the success of previous Newkulele Festivals and re-invest any profits into future festivals in Newcastle, NSW

Membership of the Newkulele Festival offers the following benefits:

  • Voting rights in the AGM of the Newkulele Festival Inc - allowing Members input into the direction, staging, organisation and governance of the Festival including approving changes to the constitution.
  • Opportunity to nominate for Committee Member positions (including but not limited to Secretary, Treasurer, Ordinary Committee member) and volunteer on the Committee.
  • Sense of ownership and connection. Membership indicates ongoing support of the Festival and the effort and commitment of the current volunteer Committee, strengthens the cultural ukulele ecosystem and offers connection with engaged supporters and industry advocates of the Festival.

Membership of the Newkulele Festival Inc is annual and costs $5. To become a member, please fill out the Membership Form below.
